RumBunter Radio is back to bring you the latest on the Pittsburgh Pirates and what they have been up to since the 2021 Draft.

The Pittsburgh Pirates continue to excite fans about the future throughout the month of July. With the trade deadline just around the corner, and the draft just in the rearview, what is to make of all the headlines?

The show kicks off with a conversation on the recent news of bullpen pitcher Kyle Crick’s designation for assignment. This drop came as a bit of a surprise for Pirates fans being that Crick had a relatively steady role with the team in several of the past seasons, and was originally brought on board as part of the Andrew McCutchen trade.

A corresponding move was made as Dillion Peters was traded to the Pirates Monday afternoon for cash considerations. The group discusses what they expect Peters’ role to be with the Bucs, and why the team decided to go this route.

Henry Davis, the Pittsburgh Pirates number one overall pick officially signed his contract for nearly two million dollars under slot value. Davis, along with several other of the Pirates’ draft selections, put the pen to paper and officially became a part of the organization. Ben Cherrington has his sights set on signing each of his first four if not all of his draft picks and the guys break down how they expect to see this happen.

Adam Frazier is a hot name around Major League Baseball. Will he be a Pittsburgh Pirate much longer? The Rum Bunter Radio team doesn’t believe so, and for many different reasons. Who will the Buccos try to swing a deal with at the deadline for the National League’s starting second baseman?  To close out the show the trio talks about the Pirates’ upcoming series in Phoenix and what could be possible against the worst team in baseball.
