These three Pittsburgh Pirates prospects have had excellent seasons with High-A Greensboro and have earned a promotion to Double-A Altoona

General manager Ben Cherington and his scouts have assembled a farm system that is one of the best in baseball. While the Pittsburgh Pirates have one of the best farm systems in all of baseball there are two rosters that stand out above the rest talent wise.

These rosters are those of the High-A Greensboro Grasshoppers and Double-A Altoona Curve. Both Greensboro and Altoona have rosters that are littered with top prospects from the highly touted Pirate farm system. The next time the Pittsburgh Pirates are competing for a postseason spot it will be thanks in large part to many of the players currently in Greensboro and Altoona.

There are many players who are having a strong season for Greensboro. This includes 2019 first-round pick Quinn Priester who is currently riding a strong 8 start stretch, lowering his ERA on the season to 3.04.

In addition to Priester, there are plenty of other Grasshopper players who are having strong seasons. This includes a trio of prospects who the Pittsburgh Pirates should promote from High-A to Double-A. This has been earned by their performances at the plate this season.
