The Pittsburgh Pirates have a ton of talented pitching prospects. But these three high school draft picks should become high ranking prospects in the very near future.

The Pittsburgh Pirates farm system’s biggest strength is their pitching. They have high ranking, very notable pitching prospects at every level. In the mid-to-upper levels of the minor leagues. Miguel Yajure, Roansy Contreras, Carmen Mlodzinski, and Quinn Priester are just a few of the highly talented players the Pirates have.

But some of the organization’s best prospects are still very young. Many of their high-ceiling pitching prospects were high school draft picks over the last year or two. But many of these prospects are yet to be very high ranking. That’s not uncommon for many young pitchers as they’re not very developed yet or are close to Major League ready.

The Pirates have many of those kinds of players in the system, including three we’re going to talk about today. The Pirates have picked these three players over the past two drafts and are very high-ceiling pitchers, one I think will have a chance to be top 100 prospects after the 2022 season.
