The Pittsburgh Pirates rebuild is starting to bear fruit and these are their top 5 prospects that will get a long look in 2022.

The Pittsburgh Pirates rebuild looks like it’s on the verge of barring some very good fruit. Some of their  best prospects are almost MLB-ready. At the end of 2021, they promoted some very high-profile top prospects all the way up to Triple-A.

Given that these prospects will likely get their 2022 seasons started at Triple-A, it’s reasonable to think that some of them will get their first crack at the major leagues sometime this year. While some will get a longer look than others, there’s still plenty the Pirates will likely bring up early-to-mid-2022.

Today, I wanted to take a look at the most exciting Pirate prospects that will likely get an extended look in 2022. Most of them will likely get a shot early into the season, but some may take a bit longer.

Regardless, they’ll probably get more than just a month to prove that they belong in the major leagues. Also, while these will not be the only prospects who could make an impact in 2022, they are the ones who performed the best in the upper minors, or are ranked the highest and closest to making the Majors.
