With Major League Baseball entrenched in a work stoppage fans are stuck looking ahead to the 2022 season, instead of discussing the fallout from the Winter Meetings, trades, free agent signings, etc. that is the norm to be discussed this time of year. Looking ahead to 2022 one area where the Pittsburgh Pirates will need to improve from the the 2021 season is the outfield. During the 2021 season the Pirate outfield was ravaged by injuries and poor performance.
