The Pittsburgh Pirates have 61 total prospects ranked by FanGraphs, but not every prospect is a returning name to their list

FanGraphs released their top Pittsburgh Pirates prospect list a few weeks ago now. The new list came with a new set of grades for 61 prospects in the Pirates system. However, not all 61 are returning names from last season.

Seven prospects are making their debut on FanGraphs list. With such an extensive and descriptive list, it can be hard to keep track of everyone new. With that, let’s take a look at who is making their first appearance on their list.

Each of these is in order as to where they appear on FanGraphs 61 top Pirates prospects list. I’m excluding new additions like Tony Blanco Jr. and Yordany De Los Santos. While they are technically making their FanGraphs debut, they also signed this off-season. Right now, I am only looking at prospects who have previously played and have never appeared on any other of FanGraphs lists.
