Dante Mendoza faced two batters, issuing a walk and recording a strikeout. Jake Sweeney then issued a pair of walks, while allowing 3 hits and striking out 4 in 3 scoreless innings pitched. Carlos Lomeli allowed a solo home run, but that was it in his 2 relief innings.
