Low-A Bradenton Blown out

The Low-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Bradenton Marauders, fell to 13-11 on the season after a 10-4 loss against the Tampa Tarpons. Designated hitter Brenden Dixon led off for the Marauders, going 0-for-4. Third baseman Alexander Mojica was also 0-for-4, while center fielder Jase Bowen and left fielder Sergio Campana were both 0-for-3.

Shortstop Tsung-Che Cheng was 1-for-3 with a walk and his 6th double of the season. Recently named FSL Player of the Month for April Jacob Gonzalez was 1-for-3 with his 9th double of the season and a RBI. Second baseman Mike Jarvis drove in a pair of runs in the loss.

Valentin Linarez started for the Marauders. Linarez allowed 6 runs, all earned, on 2 hits in 1.2 innings pitched, While Linarez allowed just 2 hits, both were home runs. He also walked 4 batters, to go with 5 strikeouts.

Jake Sweeney was the first pitcher to come into the game in relief of Linarez. Sweeney allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, 2 walks, a home run and 3 strikeouts in 3.0 innings pitched. Johan Montero allowed a run in 2.1 innings pitched, while Sergio Umana struck out a pair in 2.0 scoreless innings pitched.
