Pittsburgh Pirates: Roster Moves that Need to be Made

Finding themselves under .500, the Pittsburgh Pirates have still surpassed early season expectations by finding themselves in third place in the NL Central. That said, these roster moves that they need to make can improve the team’s roster immediately.

Even though the Pittsburgh Pirates are a sub-.500 team they have still been better than expected in the early going of the 2022 season. Entering the season the Pirates were predicted by most to finish in last place in the National League Central, but 33 games into the season the team finds themselves in third place in the division.

While the Pittsburgh Pirates have exceeded expectations thus far in terms of where they are in the standings, they have not performed the way any team would hope for based on win/loss record.

That said, there are some things the Pirates can do to improve their roster. There are a handful of roster moves the Pittsburgh Pirates need to make to improve their roster in the near future. Today, we will get into those roster moves that need to be made by the Pirates and discuss them.
