These three Pittsburgh Pirates prospects are underrated and are deserving of a move to the next level of the minor leagues.

The Pittsburgh Pirates minor league system is filled to the brim with high-end talent. You have guys atop the prospect lists like Roansy Contreras, Henry Davis, Nick Gonzales, and Quinn Priester. Then you have some recent high school picks like Bubba Chandler and Anthony Solometo. The Pirates have built a substantial prospect capital, but not every prospect gets the same attention.

There are plenty of very underrated prospects who deserve more attention. We’re well over a month into the baseball season, and we could start seeing some big promotions within the next month. Heck, Davis already got the call to Altoona after beginning the year at Greensboro. Of course, some higher-end prospects like Mike Burrows or Kyle Nicolas could get the bump to the next level, but what about some of the lesser talked-about players?

I’m only looking at players who deserve a promotion from one level of the minor leagues to another level of the minor leagues. So while Yerry De Los Santos, Oneil Cruz, and Roansy Contreras absolutely deserve to get called to the majors, you won’t see them here today.
