Pittsburgh Pirates: Five Underrated Prospects Who Are Hot

There have been plenty of hot streaks by Pittsburgh Pirates prospects, but these five deserve more attention than they are getting.

Every Pittsburgh Pirates fan knows that Oneil Cruz has finally turned a corner and looks like the player we all expected him to be. Most know that Travis Swaggerty has returned from the injured list with a vengeance. Cody Bolton, Matt Gorski, and Nick Gonzales have all been on fire recently.

But there are plenty of other players in the system who are not getting the attention they deserve, even though they’re on a pretty decent streak of games. When you have a system as packed with talent as the Pirates, there are bound to be some names who get glanced over in prospect talks.

Today, I want to look at five underrated prospects who have caught fire as of recently. They might have started out the year on the wrong foot but have turned things around and are starting to perform well.
