Following a 7-6 loss against the Omaha Storm Chasers on Saturday night, the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians are now 26-26 on the season. The Pittsburgh Pirates top prospect, Oneil Cruz, bat leadoff of the Indians and played left field, going 2-for-4 with his 8th home run of the season. Yo, Pittsburgh Pirates, it’s time for Cruz to be in the majors.
Canaan Smith-Njigba was 1-for-4 with a run scored. Starting in left field Ji-Hwan Bae was 1-for-3 with a walk. Bligh Madras stayed hot going 2-for-4 with his 5th home run of the season, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Utility man Hoy Park went 1-for-3 with ah one run and 3 RBI.
