The Low-A Bradenton Marauders splits a doubleheader on Saturday. Following a 3-0 victory and a 2-1 loss, the Marauders are now 22-28 on the season as their season long struggles continued on Saturday.
Po-Yu Chen started game one, walking a batter and striking out 7 in 5 scoreless innings pitched. Joe Jacques followed, pitching 2 scoreless innings pitched.
Game two saw Carlos Jimenez allow 2 runs on 3 hits, 3 walks, and 5 strikeouts in 5 innings pitched. Jimenez now owns a 3.18 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 28.1 innings pitched this season. Denny Roman followed Jimenez, striking out all 3 batters faced in a scoreless innings pitched.
