Greensboro Grasshoppers suffers a tough loss

The High-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Greensboro Grasshoppers, are now 22-29 on the season following a 3-2 loss against the Winston-Salem Dash. At the top of the lineup Yoyner Fajardo was 1-for-3 with 2 walks and a run scored. Fajardo has quietly put together a strong season, currently owning an .877 OPS.

Abrahan Gutierrez drove in a run for the Grasshoppers, picking up the team’s lone RBI. Dariel Lopez, Jackson Glenn and Sammy Siani each had a base hit in the loss. Maikol Escotto continued his season long struggles going 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts.

Adrian Florencio started for Greensboro, allowing 3 runs on 6 this, 2 home runs, a walk and 2 strikeouts in 3 innings pitched. On the season Florencio now owns an 8.29 ERA in 33.2 innings pitched.

Logan Hofmann pitched 2 scoreless, hitless innings of relief. Hofmann walked a batter and recorded a strikeout in his outing as well.  Santiago Florez struck out a pair in 2 scoreless innings pitched while Cam Junker pitched a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout.
