The Pittsburgh Pirates have some underrated prospects who are looking to make it to the next level of the minor leagues.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have promoted many top prospects. Liover Peguero, Jack Suwinski, Cal Mitchell, Travis Swaggerty, Tucupita Marcano, and Diego Castillo were all considered notable prospects going into this year and have made their Pirate debut. Other notables like Henry Davis, Matt Gorski, and Mike Burrows have been moved up the minor league system.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are far from done regarding moving prospects up the system. They’re going to make many more roster moves throughout the summer, and every major league promotion should lead to at least one minor league promotion as well. Someone has to take a roster spot at Triple-A when they promote Oneil Cruz, Ji-Hwan Bae, Cody Bolton, Bligh Madris, and so on.

However, not every prospect who will receive a promotion is on the Pirates’ top prospect list. Many are performing exceptionally well despite being overlooked. Today, let’s take a look at three under-the-radar prospects who are likely under consideration for a promotion to the next level of the minor leagues (or possibly even major leagues) sooner rather than later.
