
Double-A Altoona rolls to an easy win
Following a 7-1 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats the Double-A Altoona Curve are now 31-33 on the season. Returning to the Curve after a shorts stint with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Liover Peguero was 2-for-5 with a run scored. Matt Fraizer was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored at the top of the lineup. Joining Peguero and Fraizer as having a big game out of a top three spot in the lineup was designated hitter Blake Sabol who was 2-for-3 with his 9th and 10th doubles of the season, a walk, a RBI and 2 runs scored.
Center fielder Matt Gorski continued to terrorize Double-A pitching going 2-for-5 with his 5th double at the level and 2 RBI. He now has an .891 OPS with Altoona. Jared Triolo hit his 2nd home run of the season and drew 3 walks.
Jeffrey Passantino made his first appearance of the season for Altoona, allowing 3 hits and striking a batter out in 3 scoreless innings pitched. Austin Roberts pitched 2 scoreless innings, and Omar Cruz allowed as solo home run while striking out 3 in 2 innings pitched. Tyler Samaniego finished the night off for the Curve by striking out a pair in 2 scoreless innings pitched.
