Bradenton Marauders picked up a close victory, capping off a 3-1 performance for the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league clubs
The Low-A Bradenton Marauders improved to 28-35 on the season with a 5-4 victory over the Dunedin Blue Jays.
Outfielder Jase Bowen was 2-for-4 with his 10th double of the season and he drove in a pair. Shortstop Tsung-Che Cheng and center fielder Sergio Campana were both 0-for-3 with a walk. Left fielder Rodolfo Nolasco was 1-for-4 with a run scored, and Brenden Dixon went 2-for-4 with his 5th home run of the season.
Valentin Linarez started for the Marauders and turned in a much needed strong start. In 5 innings pitched the righty allowed just 1 run, which was unearned. He allowed 4 hits, did not walk a batter and struck out 4.

Jack Hartman was first up out of the Marauder bullpen. Hartman allowed a run on 2 hits and a walk in his inning pitched. Cristian Charle allowed a run but struck out 3 in 2 innings pitched. Yunior Thibo then finished the game off, although he did allow a run in the 9th inning.
