Pittsburgh Pirates: Could the Yankees Push for Bryan Reynolds?

The Pittsburgh Pirates are entering July with a losing record.  With that being said, they will likely look to sell at this year’s Trade Deadline.

The Trade Deadline for Major League Baseball is always a very exciting day(s).  Baseball fans look forward to this day to see what blockbuster moves may play out or what teams sit on their hands and do nothing to improve.  The Pittsburgh Pirates have been one of the more active teams at the Trade Deadline over the last few seasons, being mainly on the selling side.

With the team having a new Front Office and starting a rebuild, the fans have seen a lot of veteran players traded. Last year they traded away veterans Richard Rodriguez, Tyler Anderson, Adam Frazier, and Clay Holmes.  The team will likely look to part with some of their veteran players at this year’s deadline as well.

Now that it is July it is officially trade deadline season.  With that, MLB.com released 10 predictions for this July.  Not all of the predictions are for the Trade Deadline, but the Pittsburgh Pirates are on the list.  Anthony Castrovince, who wrote up the list, predicts a trade between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees:
