The Pittsburgh Pirates are looking to make it two strong Draft classes in a row.  Could a local prospect be a part of this year’s class?

At the end of the 2021 Draft, many national outlets praised the Pittsburgh Pirates for what they did.  The team was able to draft multiple Top prospects because the team had the biggest Draft Bonus Pool.  In the end, the Bucs took a college bat in the first round and followed it up with 3 straight prep picks.

So will the Pittsburgh Pirates be able to pull off another significant Draft this year?  Chances are yes, maybe not as impressive as last year, but the Bucs do have the fourth largest Signing Bonus Pool. The team will be allotted $13,733,999 to spend, which is about $500,000 less than they did for the 2021 Draft.

Baseball America recently posted their most recent mock draft, this is their 5th update.  They mention in their post that they are basing everything on information they know and have been told.  Baseball America is a credible outlet and does a great job leading up to and during the draft. As the Draft gets closer be sure to check out their site for updates.
