Low-A Bradenton picks up a 7-2 victory following a rain delay
Much like the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Low-A Bradenton Marauders dealt with a rain delay on Wednesday night. Unlike the Pittsburgh Pirates, following the rain deal the Marauders were victorious. Following a 7-2 victory over the Lakeland Flying Tigers, the Marauders are now 35-41 on the season.
Making a rehab start after a pair of spring training injuries that had him sidelined since April, Greg Allen started in left field and bat leadoff for the Marauders. Allen went 1-for-2 with a run scored for the Marauders.
Tsung-Che Cheng was 2-for-5. Jase Bowen was 3-for-5 with 2 runs scored, 3 RBI and is 9th home run on the season. Rodolfo Nolasco was 1-for-5 with a RBI, and designated hitter Wyatt Hendrie was 2-for-4 with a solo home run, his 3rd of the season, a walk, RBI and a run scored.
Joel’s Del Rosario started for Bradenton, allowing a solo home run and striking out 3 in 3 innings pitched. Kelvin Disla walked a pair in a scoreless innings pitched. After Mitchell Miller pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief, Jack Hartman pitched a 1-2-3 innings. After Yunior Thibo allowed an unearned run, Dante Mendoza struck out 2 in a 1-2-3 inning, lowering his ERA on the Eason to 1.27.
