Low-A Bradenton delayed for lightning in the 7th inning
As of this writing, the Bradenton Marauders were delayed due to lightning in the 7th inning. When the lightining rolled in the Marauders were trailing the Clearwater Threshers by a score of 8-7.
Valentin Linarez started for the Marauders, allowing a solo home run while striking out three batters in 2 innings pitched. Sergio Umana followed with 2 innings of his own, allowing five runs, one earned, on five hits. Carlos Lomeli and Mitchell Millers combined to allow a run on three hits in 2.2 innings pitched.
Shortstop Tsung-Che Cheng hit leadoff, going 1-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored. Left fielder Jase Bowen was also 1-for-3 with a run scored. Rodolfo Nolasco continued to hit going 1-for-4.
second baseman Maikol Escotto was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored and a RBI. Designated hitter Bubba Chandler was 1-for-3 with his 2nd double with Bradenton and a RBI. Catcher Wyatt Hendrie also had a double in the victory.
