Tough loss for Low-A Bradenton

In a back-and-fort high scoring affair, the Bradenton Marauders came up short on Thursday night. Following a 10-9 loss against the Lakeland Flying Tigers, the Marauders are now back to .500 on the season at 46-46.

Juan Jerez started at third base going 2-for-5 with his 7th double of the season and tow RBI. Right fielder Jase Bowen was 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBI, while leadoff man and shortstop Tsung-Che Cheng went 1-for-4 with a walk, a RBI and two runs scored.

First baseman Brenden Dixon was 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Left fielder Jasiah Dixon was 0-for-3 but walked twice and scored a run. Bubba Chandler was 0-for-4 with a walk, Deivis Nadal was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a RBI and a stolen base.

Luis Peralta started for the Marauders. Peralta allowed 2 runs on four hits, two walks and six strikeouts in 4 innings pitched. Mitchell Miller followed Peralta. In 2 innings pitched the only hit Miller allowed was a solo home run, he did not walk a batter nor did he strike a batter out.

Jack Hartman followed Miller and struggled mightily. Hartman recorded just two outs, allowing 5 runs on three hits and two walks. However, none of the runs Hartman allowed were earned due to errors by Nadal and Jerez. The error also burned Yunior Thibo who allowed 2 unearned runs in 1.1 innings pitched, before Wilkin Ramos finished the game off with a scoreless inning pitched.
