Rough stretch could be ahead
In recent weeks the Pirates have been playing better baseball. In their last 12 contests the Bucs are 7-5. However, there could be some very choppy waters and struggles on the horizon for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
This weekend the Bucs head to their house of horrors in Milwaukee for a four-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers who are competing for both the National League Central and a NL Wild Card spot.
After the Brewer series, the Pirates return home for a four-game series against the Atlanta Braves who are arguably the best team not just in the NL, but in all of baseball. That is followed up by a three-game series against the NL Central leading Cincinnati Reds.
This could be a brutal 11-game stretch for the Pirates. The Pirates currently sit at 48-59. However, after this 11-game stretch, the Pirates finding themselves15+ games under. 500 is a real possibility, if not a probability.
