1-run win for Double-A Altoona
Looking to finish the season strong and get back to .500, the Double-A Altoona Curve defeated the Akron RubberDucks 3-2 on Tuesday night. With the win, the Curve are now 64-66 on the season with five games remaining.
Justin Meis started for the Curve and pitched 3 scoreless inning. He allowed two hits, walked a batter, struck out three, and threw 38 of 60 pitches for strikes. Michell Miliano followed by allowing 2 runs on five hits, two walk, and three strikeouts in 2.2 innings pitched.
Geronimo Franzua allowed a hit and struck a batter out in 1.1 scoreless innings. Cam Junker got the final six outs of the game for Altoona, allowing a hit while pitching a scoreless 8th and 9th inning to close out the victory.
Carter Bins was 0-for-2 at the plate, but drew a walk and drove in a run. Jackson Glenn was 1-for-3 with a walk, double, and a run scored. Jase Bowen was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored and Connor Scott was 1-for-4 with a double and a RBI.
