Hey, guess what? The Pittsburgh Pirates just dropped their long-awaited Nike City Connect jerseys, and let me tell you, the hype was real! It's the first time ever for the franchise to rock these babies, and fans like me couldn't wait to see what they had in store. Overall, I gotta say, I'm pretty pleased with what they've come up with.

Nike's City Connect concept is all about deepening the bond between teams and their cities. They celebrate the unique culture and history that make each place special. The Pittsburgh Pirates did a great job with these jerseys.

There are a few details that stand out, both positive and negative. In terms of my favorite feature is the subtle textured background. The other thing that stood out to me was the "PGH" in the front. While I do not love this concept, it still gets the job done. Mitch Keller along with a few other players from the Pittsburgh Pirates help show off the uniforms below:

One thing that stands out about these jerseys is the killer texture they've got going on. The fabric has this cool pattern that gives them a modern and edgy vibe. I mean, who doesn't love a little visual and tactile appeal? It takes the team's look to a whole new level, both on and off the field.

Alright, here's the thing. While I'm into the whole "PGH" idea, I gotta admit, it's not exactly what I had in mind. The placement and style of the logo are a bit different from what I was hoping for. But hey, let's not rain on the parade here. Most folks seem to be pretty stoked about it, and it's still a shout-out to our awesome city, Pittsburgh.

There have been some pretty bad concepts for other teams' City Connect Jerseys. Many were worried that the representation of the city of Pittsburgh would be botched. Overall, they did not botch it and put out a pretty decent product. These uniforms are now available in the Pittsburgh Pirates Club House Store.
