Bradenton gets beat by a football score

If you just looked at the score you may have thought it was a low scoring defensive battle in football. However, that was not the case. On Thursday the Low-A Bradenton Marauders fell to the St. Lucie Mets by a score of 17-3 to fall to 53-39 on the season.

Bradenton had just four hits. A solo home run by Jesus Castillo, and singles by Nick Cimillo, Juan Jerez, and Yordany De Los Santos. They did, however, draw 13 walks. Castillo, Termarr Johnson, Lonnie White Jr., and Malcolm Nuñez each walked twice. Deivis Nadal, Rodolfo Nolasco, Tanner Tredaway, Geovany Planchart, and De Los Santos all walked once.

With things out of hand, Tredaway, Nadal, and Jerez all got to be position players pitching in the loss. Tredaway allowed two hits and walked a batter, put pitched a scoreless 7th inning. Nadal allowed 4 runs while getting the first two outs of the 9th, Jerez then got the final out of the 8th inning.
