Shutout victory for Altoona

The Double-A Altoona Curve picked up a 6-0 shutout victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Thursday night. With the win, the Curve are now 46-49 on the season.

Lolo Sanchez led the way for the Curve offense. Starting in right field, Sanchez was 2-for-4 with his 8th double of the season, 5th home run, two runs scored, and two RBI. Jackson Glenn was also 2-for-4, hitting his 3rd Double-A home run to go with a walk, two runs scored, and three RBI.

Tsung-Che Cheng also had a multi-hit game for Altoona going 2-for-4. Claudio Finol was 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored. Norkis Marcos went 0-for-3, but drew a walk and scored a run. Center fielder Matt Fraizer was 0-for-4 but scored a run.

Sean Sullivan started for Altoona and fired 5 scoreless innings. Sullivan allowed three hits, walked two, and struck out a pair. Omar Cruz allowed a hit, walked two, and struck a batter out in 1.2 scoreless innings pitched. Cam Junker struck a batter out in 1.1 scoreless innings pitched and Tahnaj Thomas allowed a hit in a scoreless 9th inning.
