Bradenton gets to double digit games over .500

Friday night the Low-A Bradenton Marauders got to 10 games over .500 on the season. Following a 9-5 victory over the Daytona Tortugas, the Marauders are now 44-34 on the season.

Enmanuel Terrero was 0-for-3 at the top of the Bradenton lineup, but drew a pair of walks and scored two runs. Designated hitter Josiah Sightler went 4-for-4 with a walk, a double, his 3rd home run of the season, two RBI, and two runs scored.

Termarr Johnson was 0-for-2 with two walks and a RBI. Shalin Polanco was 0-for-4 with a walk and a RBI, and Alenxader Mojica was 1-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored. Catcher Geovanny Plancahrt also had two hits and two RBI.

All 5 Daytona runs came in the 4th inning. This inning made an otherwise strong start for Derek Diamond look worse than it was. Diamond still pitched 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on seven hits, two walks, a home run, and five strikeouts. Outside of the 4th inning, Diamond allowed three hits and walked just one.

Brandan Bidois pitched the 7th inning. He allowed a hit but struck out the side in a scoreless inning pitched. Yoldin De La Paz struck a batter out in a 1-2-3 8th inning. De LA Paz allowed a hit in the 9th but still posted a zero to finish off 2 scoreless innings pitched.
