Bradenton gets blown out in shutout loss

Friday night, the Low-A Bradenton Marauders were shutout while getting blown out. The Marauders fell to the Lakeland Flying Tigers 9-0. The loss dropped the Marauders, who are in second place in the FSL West, to 63-48 on the season.

The Marauder offense had just two hits. Sergio Campana was 1-for-3 and Juan Jerez was 1-for-2. Jerez, Justin Miknis, Mitch Jebb, and Rodolfo Nolasco each drew a walk. That was it for Marauder base runners.

Hunter Barco started for Bradenton and struggled immensely. Barco recorded just one out while allowing 3 runs on four hits and a walk. After Jorge Ramos pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, things went south again for Marauder pitching.

Drake Fellows allowed 3 runs on three hits and a walk while getting just the first two outs of the 4th inning. Miguel Fulgencio allowed a run on two walks and two hits in 1.1 innings pitched. Landon Tomkins allowed 2 runs in 2 innings pitched before Patrick Reilly and Elijah Birdsong each pitched a scoreless inning.
