Low-A Bradenton falls in 10 innings

While the Altoona Curve picked up a 10 inning victory on Sunday afternoon, the Low-A Bradenton Marauders fell in 10 innings. Following a 9-8 10th inning loss against the Dunedin Blue Jays, the Marauders are now 30-27 on the season.

Jesus Castillo was 0-for-3 at the top of the lineup, but he did draw three walks and score a run. Jack Brannigan was 0-for-4 but drew two walks, and Shalin Polanco was 2-for-5. Alexander Mojica was 2-for-4 with a home run.

Last year's first-round pick Termarr Johnson had a hit and drew a pair of walks. That hit was a 2-run home run, his 3rd of the season. Johnson's OPS is now up to .770 for the season.

Dominic Perachi started for Bradenton, allowining 4 runs on five hits, two walks, and two home runs in 3.2 innings pitched. Bradenton's defense would hurt Sergio Umana in his 2.1 innings pitched. Umana allowed five hits, including a home run, and walked a batter, but all 4 runs he allowed were unearned.

Darvin Garcia struck out three in 2 scoreless, hitless innings pitched. Joshua Leoschorn allowed two hits and struck out four in his 2 innings pitched. However, he allowed the runner who started the inning at second base to score in the 10th on the way to the Bradenton loss.
