Bradenton rolls past Lakeland

Sunday afternoon the Low-A Bradenton Marauders easily dispatched of the Lakeland Flying Tigers 8-3 to improve to 20-13 on the season. The win capped off a 4-2 week against teh Flying Tigers for the Marauders.

Righty Derek Diamond started for Bradenton and pitched 5 strong innings for the Marauders. Diamond allowed a run on five hits, a walk, and five strikeouts. He threw a wild pitch, was charged with a pitch clock violation, and threw 57 of 84 pitches for strikes.

Yoldin De La Paz followed Diamond and pitched 2 innings. De La Paz allowed a run on a hit, a walk, and a strikeout in his 2 innings pitched. Darvin Garcia allowd an unearned run on a hit, two walks and two strikeouts in the 8th inning. Carlos Lomeli allowed two hits but struck a batter out in a scoreless 9th inning.

Jesus Castillo was 1-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Right fielder Rodolfo Nolasco stayed hot going 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, and a RBI. Nolasno now has a .998 OPS this season. Shalin Polanco was 1-for-4 with a run scored, Deivis Nadal was 0-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI, and Javier Rivas was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
