Players who could come off the roster

Last week, I took a look at three players who could lose their spot on the 40-man roster this offseason. Those three players were infield Alika Williams, pitcher Max Kranick, and the aforementioned Smith-Njigba.

It would not be a surprise to see the Pirates attempt to trade one of Liover Peguero, Nick Gonzales, or Ji Hwan Bae during the Winter Meetings, or at some point this offseason, due to their surplus of middle infielders on the roster. Although, how much trade value, if any, those three would have is questionable.

Make sure to stay tuned and keep checking in here at Rum Bunter throughout MLB's Winter Meetings. We will make sure to have you covered on all Pirate related news, rumors, signings, etc. during the next few days and throughout the entire offseason.
