This feels like the beginning of the end

The Pirates have played above their heads all season. They have hit some ruts and valleys along the way, especially in May, but they always kept pulling out of it. This, however, feels different. This feels like it may be the beginning of the end.

Entering this series the Cubs were 28-37 and they had averaged 2.8 runs per game thier previous 22 games. Well, the Cubs proceeded to score 28 runs and walk all over the Pirates on their way to a series sweep.

In their last seven games played the Pirates arw 2-5. Those losses came against two bad teams in the Oakland A's and the Cubs. Injuries seems to finally be catching up to the team, especially the pitching staff. The bullpen is coming back down to Earth. This feels like the beginning of the end of what has been a great story for two and a half months.
