Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League Minute – August 26th
The Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League Minute, many of you are thinking what is this about? Normally we give you a weekly rundown of the Minor League teams, players, division standings and transactions in our weekly Minor League Report. However, with the minor league season coming to a close over the next couple weeks, the Minor League Minute will appear occasionally to let you know when call ups occur, players go on the disabled list and other information we think you may be interested in.
Indianapolis Indians, Triple A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates:
INF Pedro Florimon was sent outright to AAA Indianapolis.
2B Kelson Brown was activated from the Disabled List on Tuesday, August 25th.
1B John Bowker was placed on the Disabled List.
INF Alen Hanson was placed on the temporary inactive list due to birth of his child.

West Virginia Power, Low A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates:
INF Jordan Luplow was placed on the Disabled List retroactive to August 23rd.
INF Kevin Kramer was called up to the West Virginia Power from the West Virginia Black Bears. The second round pick of the Pirates had been batting .305 for the Black Bears prior to his call up. He now joins first round pick, Kevin Newman with the Power.

West Virginia Black Bears, Short Season A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates:

RHP Stephan Meyer called up to the West Virginia Black Bears from the Gulf Coast League.
Bristol Pirates, Rookie Ball Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates:
INF Raul Siri called up to the Bristol Pirates from the Gulf Coast League.
LHP Cristian Mota called up to the Bristol Pirates from the Gulf Coast League.
1B Carlos Munoz named Appalachian League Player of the Year! Munoz was the only Pirate named to the All-Star Team.
