The Pittsburgh Pirates have brought in many notable prospects meaning that some other are bound to be forgotten. Here are three that have been overlooked throughout the offseason.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have been very active this offseason. General manager Ben Cherington, dating back to last offseason, has turned a once shallow farm system into one of the deepest and best among the 30 MLB clubs.

This offseason the Pittsburgh Pirates have brought in a boatload of new prospects to their farm system by trading players like Josh Bell, Joe Musgrove and Jameson Taillon while also making moves during this year’s Rule 5 Draft and signing international prospects.

We’ve covered guys like Ke’Bryan Hayes, Oneil Cruz, Nick Gonzales, Liover Peguero and most recently Quinn Priester here quite extensively. We’ve also given run downs of most of the prospects Cherington has brought in through his trades, signings and other moves. However, there are some prospects that have gotten swept under the rug because of the sheer volume of new, young players this winter.

Today, let’s take a look at some Pirate prospects that have been overlooked and have not gotten any real coverage this offseason.
