` What a whacked out season the Pittsburgh Pirates are having. It continued last night as the Pittsburgh Pirates shutout the L.A. Dodgers 2-0. You might be just waking up this morning, but I swear to God

Andrew McCutchen Scoffs at Your Sophomore Jinx [VIDEO]
That low groan in the midwest today? That was the soul of the Brewers being pulled ripped from their bodies as the Pittsburgh Pirates took the series behind Andrew McCutchen. That sucking sound down South? That is the 2009 NL Rookie of the Year Chris Coghlan failing to live up to last years performance. As mentioned in the post by Duk, Coghlan will now be sharing at bats due to his .179 average, the .220 OBP, and the .179 slugging. Huh. His season average has jumped to .328 with 12 RBI. Ten of those RBI have come with runners in scoring position. Walker has two homeruns and his OPS now sits at .930. Walker has hit safely in eight of the past nine games. His only weakness? Hitting against lefties. Remember, from July 30 until his first career Major League call-up on September 1, Walker collected 34 [...]
Pirates Lose 10-3; Morton Pounded Again
Charlie Morton stunk again. We are getting tired of this PhotoShop. Morton threw thirteen fastballs, yes, all fastballs in the first inning.
Mike Lupica of The New York Daily News said Roger Goodell suspended Ben Roethlisberger FOR THE GOOD OF THE LEAGUE. I’m curious if Goodell hopes it helps Roethlisberger and other players in the NFL?
