AUTHOR: | IN: Pittsburgh Pirates | COMMENTS: None Yet

The hits just keep coming for Pittsburgh Pirates 2B Neil Walker.  The Pirates rookie has capped off another month where he has piled up more total hits than the previous month.  Surely major league clubs are making adjustments to the switch hitter, but it appears Walker is likewise hanging tough. In the Pirates postgame on FSN, Walker gave credit to his

Pirates At Cubs: Carlos Zambrano Is Back To Face Pirates

AUTHOR: | IN: Pittsburgh Pirates | COMMENTS: None Yet

Carlos Zambrano is back on the bump for the Chicago Cubs.  Is there any doubt he is the most entertaining pitcher for Pirates fans?  We haven’t seen a pitcher drive a fan base more crazy in a long time.   He has pitched well since returning from his meltdown, so well in fact that he is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA.  Pirates fans can expect to see the always putrid defensive play

AUTHOR: | IN: Pittsburgh Pirates | COMMENTS: None Yet

Pirates Charlie Morton Back On The Bump After Extended Time On Disabled List

AUTHOR: | IN: Pittsburgh Pirates | COMMENTS: None Yet

` Pittsburgh Pirates RHP Charlie Morton makes his return to the mound today against the Milwaukee Brewers. You can almost smell it.  Morton has done many things well in his life: He can write emotional songs. He apparently has an upcoming album, Storm Inside. And he writes a killer blog about picking up his dog Bailey’s poop.  Today, he hopes he can return to pitching well and for the Pirates future sucess, it is absolutely imperative for Morton to regain some apparition of his 2009 performance.

Best Manager Meltdown Ever

AUTHOR: | IN: Pittsburgh Pirates | COMMENTS: None Yet

State College Spikes Manager Gary Robinson has now set the bar by which all managerial meltdowns are measured. Robinson’s ejection video is part surprise, part masterpiece, and one hundred percent neurotically EPIC.  Robinson combines the elements of some of the greatest meltdowns in sport history with a personal celebration which will leave you speechless.  An instant classic. Hat tip State College Spikes. North Side Notch.
